...does it take to play the opening day game of Little League T-ball? In this shot, the coaches outnumbered the players. Overall, it took seven coaches: five for the fielding team and two base coaches for the team at bat. Luke is playing 1st base. (And, no, the ball is not headed toward him from that direction. It's actually coming to him from shortstop. He just doesn't know where shortstop is.)

Lots of coaches for sure!
How adorable. Pretty soon he'll be telling you how the game is played and he'll be right. They have to start somewhere. That probably why there are so many coachs. A kudos to you for being a good parent!
LOL We had that many if not more when Brook played!
too cute!
CUTE!
Very cute! :) I guess at that age you need lots of coaches to teach the basics of the game. :)
The real question is: How many unruly, volatile parents does it take for kids to not want to play and the volunteer coaches to quit? *le sigh* I speak from experience.
Could be worse. They could all be agents with shoe contracts.
Awww, well all the more support for the little players! Very funny though.

If I were those kids I'd run for it.
That whole direction thing can be puzzling at first.
How cute! My five year old has his first game soon. I can't wait! I am sure our game will have a similar coach to player ratio! :)
That is a wonderful picture. How cool there are that many who want to coach.
Brilliant!! I'm still a few years away from all the coaching craziness..
