With a Capital L

That would be, of course, me. Me when it comes to contests, that is. Or at least contests requiring any level of skill beyond "none." I've entered Scribbit's marvelous Write-Away contests once twice several many times. Didn't win, place or show.

I tried my hand at Shelley's This Eclectic Life's This Blog Blows My Dress Up contest. Didn't win, place or show.

When I first started blogging, I started doing the 10-minute writing exercises at Charlene's Crazed Parent. After my one attempt, she stopped doing them. [Now, she swears she had a month of household illnesses and my involvement had nothing to do with the ceasing of the...blah...blah...blah. I suspect she has another site set up that I am blocked from viewing.]

I entered the Write Stuff Creative Carnival. The contest was cancelled for lack of entries.

All right. I could go on. I shan't. ["Shan't" is one of my new favorite words. It makes me feel at home surrounded by the Brit and his offspring. The contraction of "shall not," for those of you unwilling to look it up.]

Shelley is having another contest. One entry only. A funny one. I'm funny nearly all the time. I thought I'd use the one about my X-girl. It's really more Sammy's entry than mine, and I'm hoping the shameful use of my 8-year-old daughter to shill my wares might get me some points.

You are due for a win! May you bitch-slap the competition with your wit and smarts. Thanks for your sending your comments my way, too. They are much appreciated.

Wishing you luck!
I don't even enter any of the contests. I am the type of person that never wins anything - so I've decided that I won't even try. Positive, eh?
