We had an opportunity to visit the D-day beaches a year ago. It was a powerful moving place to be.
Lots of lives and memories in that sand.

A classic and historic choice. I've been reading an account of the 45 Commando from D-day to the end of the war writen in 1946, it's strangley impersonal compared to more recent histories.
