We had an opportunity to visit the D-day beaches a year ago. It was a powerful moving place to be.Lots of lives and memories in that sand.Well posted today.
Happy WW, lovely powerful picture.
A classic and historic choice. I've been reading an account of the 45 Commando from D-day to the end of the war writen in 1946, it's strangley impersonal compared to more recent histories.
The thoughts the photograph brings up are pretty scary.Peace to the world!Happy WW, thanx for stopping by! :)
