Nearly wordless: Sammy has always had that English rose thing going with her cheeks. When she's tired or overstimulated, her cheeks begin to redden. South African penguins have a pink patch above the eye which is a sweat gland. The darker it gets, the hotter the penguin feels. Birds of a feather!

Birds of a feather indeed - Great photo!
That's great! It's nice to know when you've got a friend. Have a great day.
Very interesting, and great shot!
I can see the resemblance ;-)
She's very pretty. I think the pink cheeks are a bonus. I need blush just to keep from looking ghoulish.
Now where's a picture of mommy?
YAY - I live near a whole colony of penguins
Cute picture and interesting caption! Happy WW.
Great picture! Beautiful daughter!!
Wow, I bet she doesn't like it much either? Well, she may when she gets older. Great shot and have a happy WW. :)
What a cute explanation. Your daughter is so cute! And, I love penguins! I get VERY red in the face when I am overheated, as I do not sweat...weird, I know!
Happy WW!

Very cool! :) And all three in the photo are cute - the two humans and the bird!
Cute pic:)
The question is... did she get to PET the penguin? If I petted a penguin I would definitely become overstimulated and probably die of joy. (I love penguins!)
Never knew there was such a bird. Don't you love those English rose spots? I've always thought they're very attractive.
What fun picture and an interesting tidbit of news.
That is really cool. I love penguins and never knew that. My niece is a penguin too!
