Add two houseguest kids
to three of my own and get?
Chaotic laughter.
My own far from neat,
why do I grumble and groan
about toothpaste blobs?
A friend and her husband went away this week, and I had her 9-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son for a couple of nights. Whew! A lot of work, especially during the school week. Funny how we have come to accept all the quirks and idiosynchracies of our own children yet we find it difficult when we view similar issues in other children.
[This is my first entry into the whimsical world of Haiku Friday. I hope to join in again!]

Yay. Glad you joined us for Haiku Friday. I can barely handle one husband and one toddler? I'm glad you survived your fam + interlopers!
So glad you played along!
Great haiku. I fear other people's children.
We haven't had overnight guests yet.
I don't look forward to it!
And your second one? Totally me with my husband!
chaotic laughter? love it!! great haiku (and blog - i'll be back).
They screamed all day long
They were really hard to "get"
I thought I would cry
Oh my! I added two extra kids a few weeks back and it almost landed me in the nut house. I will pray for you.
great haiku! wow...sounds like a busy house!
LOL, cute haiku! It's been really nutty around here, sorry I didn't get back sooner about online jigsaw puzzles.
You can download one to try from yahoo games called Super Jigsaw. That one is the best, the most like a real jigsaw puzzle.
Websites with jigsaws that are okay...

Wow! You are incredible! One is kicking my butt!
Good job on your first time out! Play again next week, it'll be fun! (And I love the local company.) :)
Great haiku,
it's like I always say:
Kids (and dogs) are like farts,
you can stand your own
but you can't stand anyone elses!
LOL
Gross but so very true.
Hope you are having a good weekend. Thanks for stopping by WW.
