The rules, briefly, are few: pick one to jump; you must pick one; no opting to remain celibate for life; ignore sexual orientation (yours and the jumps'); ignore death status; this week, ignore age status as well.
Jump #1 is the diminutive Mickey Rooney. Now a very old man, he was an extraordinary child star, playing Andy Hardy, appearing with the beloved Judy Garland in several films, and making a huge splash in Boys' Town. For many of us nowadays, we know him as the voice of Santa in Santa Claus is Comin' to Town. Perhaps you saw him in one of my recent favorite "kid"movies Night at the Museum. Or maybe you know him as the much-wedded Hollywood guy. Yeah, he's got eight marriages under his belt. And one of them was Ava Gardner!
Jump #2 is the not-so-diminutive Andy Rooney. He's a tad older than the youngster Mickey, turning 89 in January (to Mickey's 87 in September). He's known for his commentaries at the conclusion of 60 Minutes each week. "Did you ever wonder," is one of the lines which come to mind when I think of him.
So, who you anxious to get a hold of? Is it Jump One?

Or Jump Two?

I've got to say that I'm not anxious to jump either of them. I'll even give us the magical power to transform them back to a decent age. That doesn't help much. Don't get me wrong, it does help some. I think I'll go with Andy because I do remember being amused with his commentaries, way back when I watched television. Mickey clearly has intimacy issues, whereas Andy stayed with one woman.
What about you?

Wow. You are too creative -- and I have to agree with your take on these two -- very well said. Susiej
I'm going with Andy. I like his sarcasm that often reveals great truth (and besides I have no exposure to the other Rooney - *blush*).
I just want to know how you came up with this one. Yikes. But I'll probably have to go with Andy - I used to find him pretty amusing, before he just got old and cranky.
Man, why is it I always have to choose between to less than attractive options?
I'll take Mickey, although like, 50years ago, when he was cute.
oops, "two" options
Another tough choice! I'll go with Andy for the same reasons as you.
Ick. Do I have to play this week? I guess I'll pick Mickey - Andy is too much of a curmudgeon and I liked Mickey in his younger days.
I'm going with Andy but only because when I see his long puss, it means The Amazing Race is about to start.
Oh, dear. Can I abstain this week?
Where do you get thses ideas from?! Ewww. I'll go for Andy, but only if I could close my eyes and thing of some other old guy...like Omar Shariff.
K, so what does it mean, if I had to choose? What happens if I don't? Because with this week's choice, it would help to envision an alternative so horrific... think Saw movie horrific... that jumping either of these geezers would seem like a good idea.
That said, I'll take Andy. He'll have to sign a waiver, and/or alter his will heavily in my favor. And then we'll begin: "Didja ever wonder what'd happen if I did this, big guy? How 'bout this?"
That I can envision this at all clearly means I'm sick in the head.
Ulgh. Have to go with Andy, I guess. But sheesh....
eres chatica eh, yudi garlan?? era follarin!!
