Watching the scroll at the bottom of the local morning news show this morning, I saw the blurb "Tancredo to end presidential bid." First I had to wonder, "Who the hell is Tancredo?" Then I had to admit that, given I'd never heard of him, it was probably a good thing he was ending his bid. I had to rely on my trusty Google to even find out the man's first name. It's been crazy around these here parts of late. We've had illnesses sweep through, with yours truly getting hit last. And, might I add, hardest. I'm on too many drugs right now to properly function, yet functioning is what I am doing. There's the kids' school newspaper to get out. There's the cutting of strips of construction paper to enable fifth graders to "weave" ornaments. There's the cutting of circles to enable first graders to crease together ornaments. There's two days of doing centers in the youngest's class. There are party supplies to be bought. There are teacher gift cards to be purchased. There's a house to clean. There's another load of laundry to wash 'cause the fastidious eldest left his jacket out after P.E. and others might have -- gasp! -- touched it.
ENOUGH! I'm boring myself reading this. I'm busy. You're busy. It's the season to be busy. Let's just take a moment, bow our heads, and say a silent farewell to
