Haiku: Ink and Wordy Wednesday #8

How about that? I've got a twofer this week. Sadly, it turns out this is the last week for One Deep Breath. I've really enjoyed their prompts, and I'm sorry to see the ladies stop with their brilliant prompts and accompanying insights.

This is J. She has a real name, but I'll leave it at J. These two ku were done for her. Actually, I was trying to compose something brilliant to give her: a poem, a letter, a mash note, or what-have-you. But nothing seems to come out of my pen. [Or my keyboard.] I am incapable of compacting all that she has done for me into a neat little package that doesn't sound...lame as hell. So I am left with these:

The well has gone dry
as I wonder how to tell
of my gratitude.

Never one to stop
writing, now I’m two, tongue-tied,
not using her words.

Your poem leaves me wondering how to express such gratitude, also, to some people in my life. This seems the best way, with beautiful poetry.

You have been added to the blogroll. Thank you so much. You are in my prayers this week as your family goes through this surgery.
