Forgive my fascination with Pete's successful triple bypass on Monday. I'm damn sure our lives will be changed in unpredictable ways in the coming weeks, much as his body has changed.
Without further ado -- and with gracious appreciation to One Single Impression for taking off where One Deep Breath left -- my 'ku:

Good morning, Patois. I've been checking in and was relieved to see your husband is recovering. I hope all is still going well. I'm glad also that you have your poetry to help you express yourself. It is a beautiful poignant poem. Thank you.
I like the way you find landmarks in scars.
I am glad too that the surgery was successful.
I hope he recovers well! My stepdad had that done and he's doing well, just some encouragement there!
I love your use of the landscape in this. I am glad the surgery went well!
