Haiku: Transience

A purely ephemeral feel to the poetry this week at One Single Impression. My offerings, as always, are transient in and of themselves.

Light seeping through to
rouse me from my dreamless state.
Peacefulness shattered.

Following footprints
then leaving them for others
to follow my own.

These are both so lovely and give such a great visual of transience.

Light can be a dastardly thing!

I like the image of footprints. I'm imagining them on a beach, perhaps a mother's with the child coming from behind to hop from step to step. And then it's gone.

Thanks for these.

Both good - I especially like the footprints, which for some reason I visualize in the transient medium of sand on the beach.
