Haiku: Folly

Right up my alley, this prompt from One Single Impression. Much of my current life is folly!

Counting syllables
while poolside with the children.
Poetry it's not.

Great haiku and photo. Don't waste so much time counting syllables that you forget to play in the water.

This is so neat and I know exactly what you mean. When my husband sees me counting on my fingers as we are driving along he knows that I am trying to construct a haiku.. what fun it all is. Great entry.

This reminds me of the challenge of being mom and writer. It has gotten easier, but it is not easy! Thanks for this!

I respectfully disagree; teaching a child to converse or to write is certainly poetry!

First off, welcome back from the European vacation. WOWZA, how cool.

Secondly, beautiful shots and words - the visual is a beautiful reality.

Lastly, I'm in love with Bruce's Thunder Road song. Every time I hear it, I think of YOU!
