How do I know the end of summer is here? Let me count the ways.
One, the kids are back in school. Of course, they started school nearly a month before the official start of fall.
Two, the clamoring for pool time has diminished substantially, leaving Youngest the only one to ask, on a daily basis, whether he can go swimming. And he only wants to swim once a day.
Three, I'm wearing my cozy, comfy socks to bed.
Four, the pool guy will only be here two more times before his contract hibernates for six, seven months.
Five, it's taking two days to dry a load of laundry outside rather than the two hours it took just a couple of weeks ago.
Six, my flip tan is diminishing even as I type.
Finally, I'm seriously considering having our air ducts cleaned. It's something we've never done before, and I have to believe many creepy-crawlies have made our ducts their home. We shall say a silent prayer for all of them as they are sucked up but some professional. It feels as if I'm considering a murder-for-hire.
