Ahhhhhh. Warmth. My toes and fingers turn a lighter shade of blue just watching this.
[Yeah, yeah, I know 56 degrees in the house is not really freezing. But, damn, it's cold enough.]
I mentioned to Eldest the other night that I had a fairly wide open day Friday. Writer that he is, he wondered if I would perhaps like a wri...

When I moved into my house the December before last, we were having our first cold snap. It was at least that cold, if not colder, and the gas hadn't been turned on yet. Layers, my friend! Lots and lots of layers!
Ah, that looks warm. I don't have a Pete, don't have a fireplace and the electric rate just jumped 13% so I'm wearing a layer for each percent. LOL And still really, really cold. Last year I made a video of a brush fire close up and played it on the TV for the mental feeling of warmth. Sometimes, I think it almost worked. Nice post! Hope your arm is healing rapidly...
We're still running the a/c here....
Um, yeah, that IS cold! I'd be shivering all the way to my bones.
I wish I had a need for our heater. I truly think, except for maybe ONE week, our a/c is on. It's on right now altho we have a cool front of temps in the 80s.
Go buy an electric blanket and all of you can cuddle underneath for additional warmth. We slept in our cabin in PA in January with little heat. Well, we didn't really sleep...we shivered through the night. Then Bruce had to go out to the creek and punch a hole through the ice to get water so we could flush the toilet, since the water pump was frozen. It was a thrilling weekend. NOT. Hope he comes home soon to help.
My brother regularly keeps the thermostat at or near 60 degrees. I cannot believe his wife puts up with it!
