Truck running red light
crashes, crunches, careens me
into waiting arms.
That, my friends, is the story of the two of us. No, he wasn't the truck driver who nearly killed me. The accident was merely the reason I decided to pursue the impossible, consequences be damned. I guess I really should track him down and thank him.

I like your poem. That was fortunate indeed! Most of these for the week end up either with fortunate good or unfortunate bad endings. By definition of the prompt, right?
The lady who ran the stop sign in front of me did catch me. On the hood of her car.
Here is hoping your arm is improving. You can see I scrolled down a bit.
"Few boys I've known are willing to cross the great gender barrier." Sorry your daughter lost, I voted for Hillary in the primary and would have for pres if that can qualify me for an exception. :-)
..
Oh my goodness, this is truly a life experience.
Wow, this made me wonder what is serendipity other than a well disguised gift from ?
Oooo - I like this one!!
I want to hear the rest of the story!
Oh wow.
That definitely would be a life changing experience.
I love the imagery & sounds in this one! Great job!
It's funny you mention you should track him down & thank him. My wicked step-monster is the one who introduced me to my husband. He used to be her co-worker. We always tease that we should send her a thank you card. Partly because we mean it and partly to get her goat.
WOW! I love it and truly a life changing experience...
That's serendipity!!!! And luck...
..a wonderful haiku that contains a terrific story..many thanks..
Loved that. What seems like tragedy can often lead to delight.
Just goes to show....sometimes our worst moments are are best teachers. God bless.
There was a lot of luck in that accident!
Bad things are often later pieces of luck in disguise...
the first time i read it, i took it in a literal sense...& when i came back to it, it seemed to be something figurative, like a serendipitous event that "hits" you out of the blue. either way, it fits perfectly!
I like this, and it sounds like there is more story to it.
As one who has been in 3 car accidents myself I am glad something good came out of yours! Mine were not fun or serendipitous! I'm glad you took the risk!
Life turns on a dime and it seems this turn gave you a big payoff.
an excellent interpretation of the theme.
I'm left wanting to know so much more...
That's a new take on 'wham, bam, thank you m'am.' (Sorry, couldn't help myself--hope that didn't offend you!)
Thanks for the big smile!
