Seriously, ROFL!

Hey, guess what's come back -- and not a moment too soon, given the state of the economy, the state of my particular now-non-existent retirement funds, and the state of presidential politics -- the ROFL awards. [If you need to know what "ROFL" stands for, please stop reading this blog and any other blog and get off the entire Internet already and go back to your typewriter.] Jessica at Oh, the Joys and Tania at Chicky Chicky Baby have revived the monthly awards, and, I can't wait to read the hilarious posts from the winners.

In the past month of so, now that the kids are back in school and my husband is away each week on business, I have had more time to go back to some of my favorite blogs and start reading again. One of my all-time favorites is Yvonne at Joy Unexpected. She can be utterly serious and she can be utterly hilarious. I don't know which Yvonne I like better, but since I don't know of any TSDMC* awards, I'm going with the hilarious and giving her an ROFL award for her "My First and Only Male Stripper Experience: Part Two." Part One was a hoot, so by all means read that, but Part Two stands alone in a humor class by itself. I loved it, loved it, loved it. And I especially loved that it was written in September, so I could pass on an ROFL award in its return month.

Go read it. Go read it, now. And then head on over to Oh, the Joys and Chicky Chicky Baby to find out who else has got what it takes to make us forget the real world.

*That would be Tears Streaming Down My Cheeks. No, typewriter users, that's not an oft-used one.

Thanks for the links. I'm looking forward to ROFL; this week requires humor therapy.

Are these reviews of real blogs or a story about blogs you'd like to read. If they are real blog reviews then I could read your reviews and then see if I want to go to them and anyway. Well written and glad you have more time for the internet.

And I had more time to put together a satire with more of the story. Hope your up for a 8 8's.
