One-handed typing being what it is, I've decided to share with you Youngest's latest email to me. [Yes, he's 6, and he has his own email account, which he actually uses from time to time, sending silly notes to his older sister or his dad or me.]
My apologies to all Barney lovers out there. And, look at it this way, at least you're not hearing him sing it. Dozens of times a day.
I hate you
You hate me
Barney stole my MTV
Shot him with a 64
Now there's no more Dinosaur
Love
Youngest
ps you're a nut head

Wow, I'm impressed on multiple levels. (1) Nice use of verb contraction from a 6 year old! Some grownups don't even get it right. (2) He can type? (3) And he emails you cute notes! Aaaawww....
Yes, it is Youngest's own writing. He has learned "you're" and gets its usage. He's a strange one, that boy. Smart, but strange. And, yeah, he types. Excruciatingly slowly, like his one-armed mother.
That is hilarious! Any kid who hates Barney too is fine by me. I'd even listen to him sing it a few (hundred) times.
I love him! Barney makes me see purple.
I'm just all sorts of impressed. Hey, that kid's got humor!
Any time they practice their writing skills, I figure, is a good thing. And how fun those emails will be to look at in 25 years. HA!!
so funny! Love it.
Kids rule and make the world go round. I hate Barney. xo
That is awesome. Sounds like messages my teens send each other. One is in college, the other high school.
HA!!
Brilliant child.
I can so see a six year old boy thinking that was the funniest thing he ever heard.
Jasmine had this car key joke she told over and over and over.... till it was funny to me that she still thought it was funny.
Of course, she still has trouble with contractions at eleven, but we're almost there.
lol. i remember my oldest going through this stage of repeating rhymes like this. and knock knock jokes. all.day.long. she turned into a teacher though - "greasy grimy gopher guts" paid off. ;-)
wow! kind of impressive and freaky at the same time. like me. :)
LOL! Clever child!
That is divine.
