Sunday Scribblings: Scandalous

We were in Blockbuster last night when the little boy approached the other family. The two boys started talking about Spiderman. And then the little boy, he couldn't have been more than 5 or 6, started spouting off something odd, speaking in a guttural, drawn-out voice.

R as in Robert Loggia
O as in Oh my God, it's Robert Loggia
B as in By God, it's Robert Loggia
E as in Everybody, it's Robert Loggia
R as in Robert Loggia
T as in Tim, it's Robert Loggia
L as in Look, it's Robert Loggia

The mother looked at the other parents. You could see she was worried that they knew where that bit came from. There was some relief on her face when the other parents seemed to have no clue. She shuffled her child away from them, grateful that it was their turn next at the cashier.

The little bit the boy was rattling off in such a deep, guttural voice came from a TV show no 5- or 6-year-old boy should be watching.

The mother? I was just happy they didn't realize my son had learned the bit from Family Guy.
If you want to hear what it sounds like, watch the clip here.

LOL! Kids will always tell on us.

too funny. Every parent knows the fear and feels the knot in the pit of their stomach when they are out in public with their kids who get that stunned look when they spot someone different and you know they are going to say something scandalous out loud for all to here.
