Haiku: Slowly

Realization --
earth orbits sun so quickly --
dawns far too slowly.

That acknowledgement of the years going by at the speed of light is something I need to keep front and center as the day orbits around little hash marks on my To Do list. Perhaps I need a motivational poster of that ku?

Please, take your time and slowly read the poets' work at One Single Impression this week. It will be time well spent.

I especially like this one, the nature of our perception of time always captures my interest.

The perception of time is a liquid experience, I think. Subject to so much change under so many influences! I like this poem. It reminds me to sit back like the sun and take the long view.

Especially excellent reminder that time moves so quickly. REALLY loved this one!

This is both metamorphic and literal to me .. fast and slow, clashing.

I love how you do that! And it makes me feel so stupid. I always have to sit there and first, count every syllable on my fingers, then second, actually parse the meaning of each phrase, and then the meaning of the whole. It's so short, but it takes me so long!!!

Very nice Patois! This becomes more and more impressing as a person gets older (and older).
Everything but me seems to have speeded up.
