Working Girls and Not
There is one thing I miss tremendously about not working. These fine women. If ever there was a person who had a talent for picking fabulous employees, it was me. That's me, Kay, Esther, Erin and Yung. I don't know if you can tell how ethnic-blind I clearly am, although I'm pretty sure my gender bias shines through loud and clear.
I loved my job. I was really good at it. In large part because I sure can pick 'em.

As is pretty evident, I'm kinda obsessed with career choices. Always have been. So, I would LOVE to hear more about your career, where you started, where you thought you were headed, whether you got there or whether you changed directions, what your last position was and how you got it and why you left it and what your next steps might be, what you dream about job-wise, if anything. That's not much to ask, right?
I totally get this. When I quit my job, we swore we would all stay in touch.
Guess how THAT turned out?
Uh-huh.
While I am still working, I do miss the social aspect of working in an office. Somehow, the dog just isn't the same.
I totally hear you. I love my workmate girlfriends so much. They are such a great bunch of girls.
What did you do? Isn't is interesting how dear we hold the work part of our lives once we breed?
I'd feel the same if I ever quit my job in accounting (though, the awesome women I work with would be the only thing I'd miss!).
I miss all my technical writer peeps. Many of them still work together and I'm able to keep track of them and see them from time to time and I miss that interaction every day.
I know what you mean.
Looks like a mighty fine group!
I do enjoy the social aspect of working. Oh, and the kids. But actually working? I miss my sah days. It can be so overwhelming getting it ALL done. More days than not, it doesn't happen.
Looks like a fun group. I'm glad you get to stay in touch with them.
(And you're very pretty, lady, just so you know. I already knew you were funny and smart, so we'll just leave that part alone for now.)
