Mac-Down

Okay, all you hep Mac users. Hit me with your best shot.

I got a new Dell computer the other day. Pete bought it and gave it to me as an early birthday present when I went ape-sh&t with the abacus I had been using a few days ago. He had purchased it a week earlier and was waiting until my birthday. Hearing my complaints -- loudly and incessant -- he went down to the cave and retrieved it and the kids said, "Happy birthday."

And I was happy. For about four days. Now? My brand spankin' new computer has hung up and won't start because it's trying to upgrade itself 'cause it's smart like that.

I have a toddler on my hands again. You know, the ones who think they can do something far above their abilities. This one, though? I can hit.

Ugh, nothing is more frustrating than a computer that doesn't do what it should do, and does things that it shouldn't! I love my puter but I don't have the tech background to troubleshoot issues like that, and then I do indeed want to slap it around a little. Today the cat sat on my laptop keyboard and created a mess that took me 30 minutes to sort out, including turning the whole monitor view on it's side! UGH I know Mac users are devoted to them, so I hope you will soon make peace with your new baby too!

I will be of no help. I have a Mac. They are called PCs for a reason and it's not 'personal computer.'

Even better: can you hold your husband responsible and hit him with it, as you couldn't with an actual toddler, although you may have wanted to?

I'm sorry. I think what I MEANT to say was "Happy birthday, a few days early."
