My creative Muse
fails on auto-pilot cruise.
Erato runs loose.
Call it "Erato." Call it "mojo." Call it "creativity." Sometimes she's here. Sometimes she's not.
One Single Impression poets wrestle with the elusive this week.

This brought me a morning smile. Pretty much perfect.
Ahh, my beautiful Patois...My muse has been waning for a couple of weeks...I'm so glad you can always make me smile!!
Patois, you have me smiling too. You did real good without the help of Ms. Muse!
Mine abandoned me this week also. Haiku never came to mind either.
I'll call you what they called me:
You are clever and cheeky and others I don't remember.
..
Humerous and fun and we have all been here! Now where did that naughty muse go...
Could be she has the 'swin influentia' Hope Erato is back offering inspiration very soon.
Fun haiku...a very nice ode to elusive indeed.
You can't force it, that's for sure. Just do other things; live life; read books. In some random moment, you'll have a thought flit through, and you'll think, "I should write that down."
Then, if you're like me, you'll completely forget it before you get near computer or paper.
Oh, yea, and do you read Go Fug Yourself? If so, did you see the new haiku contest they're running on Fridays? Maybe you could use this Friday's photo and challenge as motivation to crank out 17 syllables!
beautiful ... nice little haiku.... I am too bad in that....haven't written one till now... keep walking!!!
By the way, thanks for stopping by.... :)
Christine at Quietpaths said it perfectly. Thanks for the smile this a.m. I really enjoyed this work!
So very true, sometimes I think she takes a vacation without us.
Boy is that true! That creativity is too often elusive in my world~
I know what you mean. She basically does her own thing.
wonderful poem. I can so relate!
