Beauty: Sunday Scribblings

I wrote the other day about an issue of Us magazine I thumbed through at the physical therapist's office. There's a feature the magazine has that pits against each other two Hollywood women wearing the same outfit. I was ticked about the "editorial" choice made that deemed it appropriate to ask which toddler wore an outfit best.

Babies and toddlers and pre-schoolers are beautiful. I'll grant you that their runny noses and smelly bottoms and pee-filled diapers and sticky hands and fingers and grubby mouths are an acquired taste. And let's not even talk about the sight and smell of one freshly "hatched," as it were. But once you've gotten hold of one, pure beauty.

And I'm grateful each and every day that I get to see that beauty blossom.

& i totally agree...babies, toddlers & preschoolers are an acquired taste...you have to overlook a lot to enjoy their beauty...each & every one of them!

Gosh what IS it anyway. All the things you say about babies - all true, but they still smell so good after a bath and you just want to bites their little cheeks LOL I can say all that because mine are college age now and I'm not hauling them to walmart where they fuss and whined for toys or having to stop in the middle of grocery shopping and find the rest room because we are potty training for heavens sake. Gotta love em. Those media people forget that those people they pit against each other were someone's baby once. No matter what they are dressed in now! Hope the writing is coming along. Yikes, I'm behind so I better get cracking!

Oh I couldn't believe it when I saw that feature! And seriously, it was stupid on several levels: pitting two brothers against each other? Pitting a 13 and 3 year old? (and I wasn't surprised that they couldn't find a winner between those two... and Suri is being dressed older than Lourdes anyway.)

Ridiculous!
