Because You Want My Christmas Card, Too

Merry Christmas from the Us!

Annual recap
in seventeen syllables:
Patois clan is well.

Not enough for you?
Then by all means read on and
cringe through more haiku.

Eldest now a teen
enjoying Xbox, music
and brand new TV.

Daughter remains sweet
even as middle schooler.
Still dances each week.

Youngest lives for all sports
especially basketball
and “the real” football.

The pets have survived
another year of children.
Pete and me, too. Just.

Merriest Christmas
to you and you and you, too.
God’s peace to us all.

Yes, that was the Christmas note I sent, although I did use real names. Happy Christmas Eve, folks. We're back, safe and sound, from the mountains. Lots to mention, but none on this glorious day before Christmas.

Nicely done on the letter! I would much prefer one like this than the three page tomes I get from my family.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!
