Spider Web: Haiku

Dangerous allure
of sticky forbidden fruits.
Tiger trapped in web.

Oh! what a tangled web we weave
When first we practise to deceive!

Ah, Sir Walter Scott of required-reading Ivanhoe fame. When I saw the prompt for One Single Impression this week, my first thoughts turned to your oft-repeated and misattributed quote. Perhaps that's because I have a true fear and loathing of spiders? Never mind that. It was a simple jump from that saying to imagining Tiger spinning in such a web of deceit. And thus, and so, another 'ku meeting the "nature" test, albeit, the "human nature" test, is born.

Patois, this is great! Well, not really as the whole thing stinks!
Tiger should have read your words of wisdom about deception. I don't think he had much time for reading.
Got to stay away from those 'sticky fruits' as we could get dragged away as well.

I am with Amias on this one. A guy I really looked up to, now down in the trenches with the rest of the "rich and famous". Are there no heroes any more? I hope Tiger gets his live together though I really don't want to hear about it every night on the nightly news. Geez.

Well done. You nailed it. I enjoyed Amias's antiphon, too.

Men are men are men are men...So many never seem to get how good they have it until they toss it away.

Once again I'm thankful for NOT having television. You summed it up nicely.
