What goes around, comes around.

I believe that. I think that what you put out to the universe is what you'll get back. That's not to say that I'm so naive that I don't understand that sometimes bad things happen to good people. We don't immediately get back the good. Nor do the assholes immediately get back the bad.

Please, don't get me started on explaining childhood disease and starvation and poverty and tsunamis which wipe out 230,000 people at a clip. I can't explain.

Here I am, though, in one of the richest counties in the richest country in the world. Here, I tell myself that what goes around, comes around. Here, I decide to start paying better attention to just this: the good I put out and the good I get back.

What good did I put out for others? What good did me and mine get? It's not a score pad. It's a conscious decision to LISTEN UP.

I am a snarky, sarcastic, biting bitch. I don't intend to change me. As proof, let me offer up how often I LAUGH when some moron says, "I did a 360" when he so clearly means, "I did a 180." Hahahaha! So, yeah, I'll still be me. Did you know, though, that I also go out of my way to do kindnesses for others? Yeah, it's true. People who don't really know me think I'm such a nice person. Hahahaha!

Degree by degree, I'm going to note the good I give and the good we get. Here's to 360°!

I'd love regular posts that take stock of the balance: so you put out a certain good...and then what happens in return. That'd be interesting. Yea, in fact, just turn your entire blog over to that, would ya?

See, this is me, being supportive.

Well, I'm a firm believer in employing sarcasm whenever possible -for serious things, for humor, for being down right obnoxious too -and personally I think anyone able to use the art of sarcasm the way you can, is definitely not a bad person and has plenty of good karma vibes that can be picked up on -or picked out of -these posts of yours! Best any of us can do is to try to live a decent life, doing by the Golden Rule, and we all fail, from time to time, sometimes a lot, but that still doesn't make a person all bad, does it? My older daughter likes to say that our family -especially my daughters and I -live for sarcasm but too many other people just don't understand what a therapeutic thing it really is -most of the time. Peace -and Happy New Year from one much older than you but is a also a snarky, sarcastic bitch too anyway!

I think that is an amazing idea. And to get to 360 we have to go through 180. I like that idea.

This sounds like a nice plan. I did a couple of anonymous good deeds for folks I didn't know during December and it just made me warm all over. Made me want to do some more.
But as you say, let's not give up the snark altogether.

Excellent idea. I have been trying to be more conscious of this myself. For the 2nd year in a row, my family has been a recipient of an anonymous gift. I try to pay it forward in ways that I am able.
