Rumours. As an album, it's one of the best ones of all time. In my humble opinion. And given my age. And the fact that I use the term "album." And that I played it endlessly in high school and college. And that it is pretty much the only non-Springsteen album on my mp3 player.
Rumors. As a way of communicating, it's ridiculous. And when someone with authority -- perceived or bestowed or self-assigned -- passes rumors, it just feeds the frenzy. Rumor has it that the rumor-spreading has made its way up and down the chain, with proper attribution to the rumor-starter. Can I just relish that? Just a little?
