Of course, surprise of surprises, the study didn't actually start -- beyond client hand-holding -- until at the precise moment the kids went back to school.
A long, long, long, long time ago, I agreed to work on another project with my friend for a client we had done work for in another time and another place many years ago. It's an intriguing project and labor intensive. It needs a total of about 150 hours of my time, in two- and four-hour chunks, all of it at my friend's facility in Oakland. We'll call that Project A.
That same friend and I scrambled to bid on another project funded by the state. Its timeline made it so the heavy front-end work could be done before school let out. Although my time would still be required throughout the months of the project, I could do a lot of that work from
Project A starts in earnest June 24. Project B was delayed but it looks like we'll still be getting it. Today.
Did I mention school lets out tomorrow?

Maybe Pete can take the summer off? But summer camp is the way I always go.
