From the local school board's meeting on August 7. One of the seven trustees was absent and had been "excused" via a vote at the beginning of the meeting. At the end of the meeting, the board president brings the issue back to the other board members. Turns out that seventh trustee was on vacation which means her absence cannot be excused.
Watch officials in action, trying to figure out how to un-excuse their absent colleague. It gets really good about two minutes in. And stays gut-splitting hilarious up until the final gavel and evil glare sent out by the board president to...I wonder who?
There's a petition making the rounds to reduce the number of board members from seven to five. Gee, I wonder why people might support such a move?
