It's no Longer a Crisis of Faith

Too many times in my lifetime -- and many, many, many, many more times before I showed up -- I have seen such damning evidence that god isn't God-with-a-capital-G. "Mysterious ways," my ass. "It's not for us to understand," what a load of crap. "If only more believed," bullshit.

Don't even get me started on that motherfucker Huckabee. Just keep giving blowjobs to the NRA lobbyists, Mikey, and blame it on godlessness in the schools rather than you being a paid hooker for the NRA.

If I had not already chucked this whole god crap, I would have yesterday. Slaughtering of the innocents, that's what this purported god of yours apparently desires.

I understand the need for those suffering such unimaginable horror to believe that their children are with a god in heaven and that everyone will be reunited. I don't wish to take that comfort from them.

But don't you dare try to shove it down the rest of our throats. Don't. Even. And as for all those NRA-card-carryin', god-fearin' folks out there, how do those two mythical beliefs -- guns and god -- possibly co-exist in your pea brains? The fact that likely near 100% of you also support decimating our mental health resources should cause your head to explode.

If there were, you know, a god.

God didn't kill the innocent babies, and neither did a gun. A crazy man did. Do you seriously believe that banning guns would keep them out of the hands of those with intent to do evil? How well did that work for the prohibition of alchohol? How well has it worked for drugs today? The only thing we can change is the values of our society and do our part to shine a little bit of love and light in the world.

Of course god didn't do it. That's my point.
